About Segue Counseling

I welcome the opportunity to help you heal and hope again as you take steps toward a better, healthier future for you and those you care about.  People who feel stuck often find it helpful to seek the assistance of a professionally trained therapist to help them begin working toward transformation and recovery.  I enjoy working with people for however long it takes to reach the their goals.  I work with men or women in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief, guilt, marital, premarital, trauma, and family of origin problems.  I have a lot of experience helping couples recover from infidelity and helping spouses of sex addicts to find their own process of understanding and mending.  I also work with children ages 10 and older, teaching them tools to cope with anger, divorce, anxiety and depression issues and also enjoy coaching parents on ways to be more effective.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a technique called EMDR which helps people change core negative beliefs by processing the memories and feelings that have formed these beliefs. I also come from an attachment theory and family systems base, which helps people to understand why they might have difficulties with relationships.  Having a wealth of life experiences enables me to help others navigate the transitions of life and clients tell me they find me to be a warm, accepting, yet direct person.

I practice from a Judeo-Christian perspective, but my services are open to all regardless of race, ethnicity, disability or religious affiliation. Faith-based counseling is offered to those who desire it.

My Masters Degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy and was earned at Richmont Graduate School in Atlanta, Georgia.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and am a National Certified Counselor.  I am also certified to administer the Prepare-Enrich assessment.
